Until now, events were organized in Mersin, Adana, Trabzon, Aydın, Samsun, Eskişehir, Kars, Muğla, Kayseri, İstanbul, Edirne, Antalya, Kırşehir, Van, İzmir, Diyarbakır, Çanakkale, Niğde and Isparta. Besides them, new cities and campuses will organize events this year.

“Whose issue is homophobia?”
Anti-Homophobia Meeting is trying to make social dissidence visible on sexism, militarism, nationalism, homophobia and transphobia. Starting off to answer the question “whose issue is homophobia?”, Anti-Homophobia Meeting Coordination said:

“When Kaos GL pointed at the link between sexism, nationalism, racism and militarism, the question “whose issue is homophobia?” has been embraced by different groups in academia and civil society. So, student groups and civil society organizations showed up to organize local meetings under Anti-Homophobia Meeting in relation to their own struggles. In this way, homophobia is being discussed even in campuses and cities where LGBT people are still not visible.
