Local Correspondent Trainings in 2013
In order to join our Local Correspondent Network, you can attend our Local Correspondent Trainings. More than 300 candidate correspondents have attended Local Correspondent Trainings since 2007. The news by our correspondents who have attended the aforementioned trainings are published on various media organizations, particularly on kaosgl.org

The trainings, aimed at creating a Local Correspondent Network to change the homophobic, transfobic and heterosexist language in the media, will enable candidate correspondents to research and make news from the city they live in.

Volunteers saying "I want to be a Kaos GL correspondent and report my own news" would be a part of Kaos GL Magazine and kaosgl.org with their news/articles/interviews after attending the Local Correspondent Training program. We will endeavor to keep our connection with the local correspondents long-lasting and also to enable our local correspondents be a part of Kaos GL policy making and pursuing process in this term.

Briefly...
We expect our correspondents, who have attended the Local Correspondent Network training, to prepare at least one (1) news (news/articles/interviews) a month.

We also expect our correspondents to pass their remarks on our questions regarding agenda topics concerning gays, bisexuals and transgenders.

Local Correspondent Trainings are organized within the scope of the HOPE Project run by Kaos GL Association and Black Pink Triangle Association. The HOPE Project is funded by the Human Rights Program of Delegation of the European Union to Turkey. We’d like to extend our acknowledgements to İstanbulSweetHome, for being the accommodation sponsor of İstanbul Local Correspondent Training.
