“The Law of Misdemeanor and House Sealings Thematic Workshop” was held in İzmir as a part of “The 6th Baki Koşar Struggle Against Hate Crimes Week”.
In the workshop aimed at lawyers as a part of the Rainbow Coalition Against Discrimination conducted by Pink Life and Kaos GL Associations, the areas in which transsexual sex workers face problems often, “The Law of Misdemeanor” and “house sealings” were focused on and a work plan was made regarding the upcoming term.
In the workshop moderated by Lawyer Hayriye Kara, Lawyer Ahmet Toköz made a presentation about the fines and house sealings implemented under the Law of Misdemeanor. After that, Demet Yanardağ from the Black Pink Triangle İzmir Association conveyed the problems that transsexual sex workers face in Izmir. Lastly, Lawyer Kerem Dikmen gave information about the judicial process in İzmir.
This workshop was financed by the European Union Sivil Düşün Programme as a part of the Rainbow Coalition Against Discrimination Project.
