LGBT organizations in Turkey took part in the demonstrations held for the World Peace Day* with their rainbow flags. They protested for peace not only in Ankara and İstanbul, but also in cities of Mersin, Diyarbakır and Antep.

“Make love, not war!”
Kaos GL in Ankara, Hêvî LGBT in İstanbul, Mersin 7 Colors, Queer Adana and Çukurova Gay Initiative in Mersin and ZeugMadi LGBT in Antep stated that social peace requires making peace with LGBTs as well. LGBTs in Edirne, Eskişehir and Cyprus alike were together with anti-war activists who are also against homophobia and transphobia.

LGBT organizations highlighted the fact that militarism kills everywhere and every time and said “peace, right now!”
