Members of an activist group ‘stormed’ an upmarket clothing store in Istanbul late Wednesday, playing whistles, drums and other musical instruments to protest the store’s attitude toward gay people.

 


The group roamed around the store playing music and chanting slogans.

Members of an activist group “stormed” an upmarket clothing store in Istanbul late Wednesday, playing whistles, drums and other musical instruments to protest the store’s attitude toward gay people. 
Activists from the Istanbul Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender People Support Association, or LGBTT, entered a store they claimed discriminated against LGBT people playing drums and whistles.
The group roamed around the store under the bewildered looks of store personnel and shoppers.
LGBTT members recorded the protest on video and published it on YouTube. The issued a statement saying the raid was made to protest the store’s homophobic attitude.
