Thousands marched against worker and hate murders, homophobia and tranphobia in the Turkish capital yesterday.

The 9th International Anti-Homophobia Meeting organized by Kaos GL Association ended with a march. Thousands participated in the march dedicated to Soma after the mining tragedy that happened last week in the western part of Turkey.

The march started from Ankara University’s Cebeci Campus behind the banners “Soma: We know the murderers” and “Either we will get liberated or rotten altogether”, and it finished with a press release in Sakarya Square.

The press release emphasized that “those who are responsible for homophobic and transphobic murders are also responsible for the Soma massacre.”
