During a daytime TV show hosted in pro-government Beyaz TV, the word “bisexual” was censored on the screen.

The daytime TV show, Söylemezsem Olmaz, hosted in Beyaz TV which is known as its conservative and pro-government content censored the word “bisexual” during the live broadcast.

In the magazine TV show, presenters comment on the lives of celebrities. During the aforementioned program, presenters Ece Erken and Bircan Bali was commenting on a tweet that model Didem Soydan wrote: “Sexual preference is not something to hide for me. If I would be bisexual, I would not hesitate to live like that. But I am not.”

While program presenters Bali was reading the statement, they hesitated to read the word “bisexual”. Later on, the tweet was presented on the screen by pixelating the word “bisexual”, and one of the presenters read bisexual as “dot dot”. She explained the censored part as “to be interested in both a woman and a man” and added that “Is it a crime? It is a preference”.
