Students will again come together against homophobia and trans-phobia on 5th May. This year’s subject of “Student Meeting against Homophobia and Transphobia”, which had been arranged firstly in 2010, is “Companionship against Socialization.”
 
Students against Homophobia and Transphobia published a call as:
 
“Student Movement which built a campaign at universities and high schools and which had been raised in 70s in Turkey, weakened with 12 September Military Coup, and tries to recover itself since 90s debates on their subjects.
 
This is a call for all youth organizations, students, and laborer of education and science.
 
 This year’s subject of “Student Meeting against Homophobia and Transphobia”, which we had arranged firstly in 2010, is “Companionship against Socialisation.”
 
Student Movement which built a campaigns at universities and high schools and which had been raised in 70s in Turkey, weakened with 12 September Military Coup, and tries to recover itself since 90s debates on their subjects. They will think once more about problems that they are interested in and unionization that they can constitute on these problems.
 
Solidarity against to uniformity!
 
On the education system as a socialization process, how can “naughty kids” “occupy the school garden”?
 
How often discrimination and identity issue are taken into consideration by Student Movements?
 
How will Student resistance against Homophobia and Transphobia spread?
 
Is mediation possible in order to “defend the life”?
 
All education laborers, students and related persons are invited to the Student Meeting against Homophobia and Transphobia on 5th May, and preparation meeting at Kaos Culture Centre on 19th April in order to debate on these questions and to build a campaign all together.”
