The winners of the Women to Women Story Contest, which was held by Kaos GL for the 15th time this year with the theme of Remember the Future, were announced.

Hande Ortaç was awarded the grand prize for story "Pink and Magenta". Ayça Dalgakıran's story "Ancient Rocky" was second, and Perçem U. Yıldızbaş's story "Our Dreams Are Ours" won the third prize.

Derman Gülmez Aydın was awarded Earth-Sky-Rainbow Special award with the story "Sarı Sıcak"; Gülizar Aytekin was awarded the Hopefulness Special Award with the story "Wool Blanket"; Irem A. was awarded the Resisting With The Dream Special Award with the story "Scarecrow Mode" and İrem Şahin was awarded the Love is to be Organized Special Award with the story "When We Flick the Lights On".

The purpose of the theme "Remember the Future!" was to inspire the stories that will carry the joy and happiness of the love between women from the future of the past that is desired to these days when the future can almost only be perceived with a sense of anxiety. It was clear that the act of remembrance and the memory had a "subjectivizing" effect which "brings political subjects together" and therefore an effect that "recreates today". The political potentials of this openness and the principle of hope have been mixed up in the women to women love stories of this year.

15th year of Women to Women Story Contest

Woman to Women Story Contest is 15 years old, it has started its journey in 2006 with the theme "The Happy Love is Possible", as a response to the invisibility of love between women! The stories were evaluated at an online meeting on May 18th with the participation of the jurors Aslı Solakoğlu, Aylime Aslı Demir, Belma Fırat, Burcu Baba, Karin Karakaşlı, Oya Burcu Ersoy, Pelin Buzluk and Süreyya Karacabey.
