The winners of the 7th Story Competition ‘Women to Women’, which is realized under the theme ‘Purple,’ are determined, by saying ‘At which point of our loves, excitements, frustrations and joys women to women’ corresponds ‘Purple’?’

The winners of the 7th Story Competition ‘Women to Women’, which is realized under the theme “Purple,” are determined, by saying “At which point of our loves, excitements, frustrations and joys women to women” corresponds “Purple”?”

The first Kaos GL Story Competition was organized in 2006 under the theme “There is Happy Love,” and it was named ‘Women to Women’, which is the name of a journey emerged from the rebellion against that “we are exposed to stories of despair, sadness, pessimism in regard with lesbian/bisexual women, enough!” 
 
In the 7th station of this journey the jury where honorary juror was Pınar Selek had the opportunity to read many amazingly beautiful stories, and made an evaluation among those which paid attention to the theme and the concept of this journey, and come to the fore with its language and narrative.

Besides those which were awarded, you will find the opportunity to read the other most beautiful stories, which were not ranked and did not take the special award, not fitting to the concept of the competition and theme, in the web site kaosgl.org.

Here are the stories which were ranked first three and the one which had the jury special award:
 
The story “Brazilian Embroidery Diaries” of Çağla Esmerat, who had the nickname Blind Man’s Buff, was found worthy for the grand prize of this year.  
 
The story’Awakening’ of Neslihan Durateymur, who participated in the competition with the nickname Swallow, had the runner-up prize, and the story named ‘Two Kites’ of Belma Fırat was elected as third. The author of the first, second and third story will get their awards valuing 300 TL, 200 TL and 100 TL respectively and their plates on 13 May of Sunday in the Forum of Lesbian and Bisexual Women within the scope of the 7th International Meeting against Homophobia.
 
Besides the first three stories, the jury of the competition found five stories worth for the “Jury Special Award” as happening each year.
 
The jury special awards of the competition, which has become a tradition, are determined as following:
The story Ocean of Irmak Cihaner with the nickname Ocean Seven Color, The story named Purple of Ezgi Akyıldız with the nicknameEva, the story The Sky of Akça of Hacer Akça with the nickname Miashy Blue and the story Mormızı (Purple-Red) of Gözde Demirbilek with the nickname Berdil Uşaki won the “Jury Special Award”.
The authors of the stories which were found worthy to the Jury Special Award won subscription of KaosGL Magazine annually.
 
The winners will take their prizes in the 7th Women to Women Story Competition Award Ceremony, which will be realized in Roxanne Cafe on 13 May 2012 Sunday, 6.30 pm, within the scope of the 7th International Meeting against Homophobia.
