13th Women to Women Story Contest Jury determined the winners of the contest with the theme of “Remember Your Super Power” this year.
Starting its journey with the question “If we are able to enhance and beautify our lives by touching each other through shaking the phallus-centered-world, is it not because of our unique skills and super powers?”, 13th Women to Women Story Contest determined its winners:
1. Bizim Dünyamız/Çiğdem Gönen
2. Kaf Dağının Ardı/Alis Çalışkan
3. Taştan Kentler, Sudan Kadınlar/Günçe Gündoğdu
Special Awards:
Beş Dakika - Sümeyye Kaan,
Katman Katman - Lara Özlen,
Yarım Saat - Burçin Tetik
Women to Women Story Contest in its 13th year
As a reaction to the invisibility of women to women love, the Contest started its journey with the theme of “There is a happy love /Mutlu aşk vardır” in 2006. Now we are celebrating its 13th year!
During the previous 12 years, the Contest called for its contestants with the following themes: “There is a happy love”, “The First step, the first woman”, “the first love”, “Skin and Passion”, “Utopia”, “Did I love a woman?”, “We are everywhere”, “Purple”, “The Road”, “Love is a struggle”, “Voice”, etc.
This year, Jury of the Contest was consisting of Aylime Aslı Demir, Belma Fırat, Güzin Yamaner, Karin Karakaşlı, Pelin Buzluk and Süreyya Karacabey.
The awards will be given during the award ceremony which will be organized in the scope of Feminist Forum.
